A landscape that's
always finely dressed
and shapely sculptured.
|

All work and no play... we say, “never” on
both accounts. Condo-style living at The Pointe makes precisely the
opposite true. Free time, that’s free from trite and tiresome tasks
keeping you from the things you really want to do.
Grass cutting, snow shoveling, landscaping,
groundskeeping... all the maintenance chores that cause fretting over home
ownership—all done for you.
|
|

Living better means
leaving behind the drudgery
of seasonal labor forever.
|

... and when your worries are gone, you can. The freedom
you crave, the extra hours you long for—suddenly, they’re
yours. Every day starts with a smile knowing care of your home is in our
competent hands. The orderly beauty of a manicured yard done during your
daily walk at sunrise... .exterior repair and upkeep as you wade or
sunbathe at the pool, kissed by a gentle summer breeze... snow removed
while cuddled around a cozy living room fire.
All compliments of The Pointe’s “totally
pacified” way of life... so you can absorb, experience and share with
those around you what matters most—quality time well spent.

“You Can
Live Anywhere...
but here, you get a life
with it.”
—Pointe resident Marc Livorio
|

“What hit me first was the magnificence of the
entrance. You come up the tree-line drive and you’re immediately
overwhelmed by the impact of this tremendous clubhouse, the copper caps of
the wrought iron gates, the brilliance of the all-white condo buildings.
Aesthetically, it’s just incredible and I think the glamour of the
plan, when you initially come upon it, positively surprises people.
“Then you walk inside. The clubhouse with its
glistening chandeliers and priceless antiques, plus all the amenities
available. There’s the uniqueness of each unit. From vaulted ceilings
and balconies, to built-in appliances, tile and hardwood floors, integral
garages, fireplaces... without question, it’s the classiest facility
in its price range.
“I lived in a regular house in Cranberry for eight
years, and really didn’t know any of my neighbors. They said,
‘hello’ when I was cutting the grass, but that’s about as
far as it went.
Now, my neighbors make an effort to get together because
it’s truly a community. The amenities and facilities invite folks to
interact and stay connected. I guess it’s the fact that you’re
not spending entire weekends consumed by things like yard work and
maintenance. That time is now your own to relax and enjoy, and we all do.
“People ask me often why I really chose to come
here. And my answer is always the same. Let’s face it—you can
live anywhere, there are lots of places to buy a home. But there’s
only one place that I’ve found, at least in this area, where you not
only get a home, you get a life with it. And that’s what makes this
special.”

“I knew,
the moment I saw it,
that I was going to live here.”
—Pointe resident Katie Watts
|
For
Katie, a dance instructor, the allure of life within the tranquil elegance
of The Pointe had the graceful beauty of a classical ballet. Expressive
scenery, intricate design, dramatic atmosphere. She was moved the moment
she took her first step.
“It was funny. My boss, who knows me well, told me
before I came to visit, ‘Katie once you go there, you won’t be
able to resist.’ She was right...it was better than anything I
pictured.”
Surprising?...with unexpected appeal. “The sandy
beach was just so unique in itself. My mother works for a company who
builds homes and complexes in North
Carolina. When I told her about it she said with
disbelief, ‘I never heard of anything like that.’”
Accommodating?...uncannily so. “The one thing that
really caught my eye was the banquet/party room. We have a fundraising
committee at the studio, and we were thinking about doing a casino night,
or a Christmas get-together and how we could save a lot of money by just
holding our event there.
“And the movie theatre...we recorded our
end-of-the-year dance show on DVD and I invited the students over that I
teach. We had a private screening of the recital and watched it on the big
screen. Whatever I need just seems to be here.”
Reassuring?...thankfully peaceful and protected.
“My parents came to visit right after I moved in. Being alone, my
father was really concerned about my safety wherever I lived. Not
anymore...and that makes us both feel good.
“I’m a big walker at night. When I get home
from the studio between 9 and 10 p.m., I throw on my sneakers and I go for
a walk in the streets here, never feeling threatened, never feeling afraid.
How many people can do or say that about where they live?
“Everybody’s always so friendly too...you
drive by, give them a little wave...and yet every once in awhile, you want
to be by yourself...just get away from the hustle and bustle. And,
that’s when I really appreciate the privacy—waiting to be
enjoyed, available whenever the need arises. It’s the best of all worlds.”

“Some
People Want To Be Managed... I Don’t.”
—Pointe resident Joe Maruszewski
|
For
Joe, a retired engineer, living at The Pointe has afforded him all the
freedoms he’s grown accustomed to everyday—and so much more.
“I always tell people interested in coming here
that it’s a place where you have privacy and you live your life the
way you want to live... nobody is trying to impose it on you.
“I was concerned about security in my last place.
Here, the safety and privacy were the first things that appealed to me.
Then I started using all the other amenities—swimming pools, fitness
center—I work out every day. I make friends just by coming to the
clubhouse pub to read the newspaper.
“And everything is maintained so perfectly.
It’s just a nice environment to live in... the buildings are spread
apart, and everyone has a separate entry into their home so you never feel
crowded in, walking or talking over people.
“One time, some friends of mine came to visit. As
both drove up the tree-lined road to the gate, they were impressed by the
beauty of the rural setting here... you know, you look out over the expanse
and see all these magnificent hillsides.
“She made a remark about the place being like
paradise, and he said, ‘If this isn’t paradise, it sure is
pretty close to it. I repeat that story over and over because it’s so
appropriate. It really captures what this place is all about, and how it
makes you feel.”
